Sometimes it can be hard to meet new people when you move to a new community. Luckily, Officer offers a number of special interest clubs that Olio residents can take advantage of.

To help, we’ve made a list of local clubs where you can meet like-minded people and enjoy all Officer has to offer.

Officer Tennis Club

Officer Tennis Club is a social and family-friendly club located within the Officer Recreation Reserve on Starling Road, the hub of sports at Officer. With four hardcourts and two synthetic grass courts, Officer Tennis Club offers casual playing, coaching and weekly competitions where all are welcome.

Parkrun

Parkrun is a free, weekly, community event that takes place in many locations across the world. You can take place in a Parkrun event at Toomuc Reserve as part of Pakenham Parkrun. Saturday morning events are 5km and take place in parks and open spaces. On Sunday mornings, there are 2km junior parkruns for children aged four to 14 – just make sure you register before attending.

Walking Group

Cardinia Leisure Walking Group takes place weekly on Thursday's at 9:30am. With 36 members, the group meets at the entrance of Cardinia Leisure Centre and walks at a medium pace for 30-45 minutes. This is a great chance to take advantage of the warmer weather and meet new, like-minded people. Just remember, the group does not welcome dogs or prams on the walk.

Badminton

If you are eager to play for fun, finesse your skills or are up for a challenge, Clyde Badminton is the place for you! Taking place at various times on weekdays and weekends, this welcoming club encourages players of all ages and skill levels.

Soccer

The Casey Comets FC Soccer Club is based in Cranbourne and enters teams in all age groups in the Football Federation Victoria competitions. Casey Comets FC also offers other non-competitive programs, along with an Academy.

Local Library

Family movies, games and challenges are a great way to start the weekend at the Pakenham Library. Together you can enjoy a family-friendly movie, play board games and giant games, or participate in family challenges. A great way to meet new friends or have fun with your family.
